Traffic Sales Assistant
Another title for this position is Traffic Coordinator – Media Sales.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to the sales department.
- Liaison with the traffic department.
- Maintain data entry of commercial traffic materials.
- Coordinate the receipt of local commercial materials.
- Submit last-minute orders/revisions and log changes.
- Distribute the final daily log within the sales department.
- Coordinate with other departments on special projects, as well as commercial/promotion airtime placement.
- Function as the station gatekeeper for traffic and inventory matters to master control and the traffic department.
- During political election years, provide additional manpower in managing the airing of political ad campaigns.
Experience Level
- A college degree is not required but a high school diploma is helpful.
- A demonstrated ability in various software programming and the capability to easily learn new computer skills.
- Previous commercial TV experience is preferred.

- Function well in a fast-paced environment while staying focused and organized.
