Local Sales Manager
A local sales manager supervises a sales staff comprised of account executives tasked with servicing the local market.
Duties
- Oversight of new local business efforts, including accountability for revenue goals and inventory management.
- Communicates sales goals to the team and monitors and encourages progress.
- Constantly seeks to build the stable of sales account executives.
- Helps forecast departmental revenue on both a quarterly and annual basis.
- Develops strong client relationships at the local level.
- Holds frequent in-person meetings with clients, as well as client entertainment.
Qualifications
- Team leader, able to motivate the staff to create compelling marketing campaigns.
- Experience as a trainer or mentor.
Experience Level
- Four-year college degree and/or equivalent experience, with an outstanding record in media sales, preferably at the local level.
