Camera Operator

Duties

• Operates studio cameras for live broadcasts and in the field, operating the camera and lighting equipment when remote shots are required.
• Sets up cameras and related equipment and maintains them in good working order.

Qualifications

• Has an eye for design and can frame shots, using their knowledge of the finer aspects of photography to change focus, control exposure and lighting to capture the director's vision for the shot.

Experience Level

• Technical degree in broadcasting, digital electronics or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience with camera operation at a broadcast TV station.
