Reporter

Duties

• Reports the news out in the field and skillfully assesses the newsworthy aspects of a story and relays that to the audience in clear and understandable ways.
• Exhibits a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of the factors that create a great news story, along with the need to get the facts right.
• Works at times in conjunction with a photographer and sometimes may need to shoot and edit, in addition to writing and reporting on camera.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to memorize and quickly recall information.

Experience Level

• A bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communications or related field is required.
• Prior experience shooting and editing video for television and social media platforms is preferred.
