Assistant Director of Broadcast Operations and Engineering

Duties

• Oversight of IT operations.
• Manage the fine details of major electronic installations and ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and in accordance with rules and regulations.
• Supervise the engineering maintenance staff and ensure the daily upkeep of the station's physical infrastructure.
• Oversee staff development and training, especially on emerging technologies.
• Manage relationships with vendors, including the purchasing of equipment.
• Schedule downtime for equipment maintenance with backup systems in place.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of audio/visual and digital systems, networks and IT.

Experience Level

• A bachelor's degree in broadcast television, engineering or an IT-related field is preferred along with prior management experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience in the television industry.
