Sports Show Host

Duties

• Hosts, produces, writes and edits the sports-oriented content, interviews guests, fields calls from listeners and creates digital and social media content. May host with a partner or solo, and may host a podcast as well.
• Provides the latest information on games, sports figures and team rankings. May partner with local sports teams for cross-promotion and publicity to build audience base and loyalty.
• Reports live on location at sporting events.

Qualifications

• Passionate and knowledgeable about sports.

Experience level

• A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in radio, television or print media.
• Prior sports media experience is preferred.
