National Sales Manager
Duties
- Identify new business opportunities; service existing accounts; and tailor sales opportunities unique to each client.
- Interacts with sales representatives and media planners from national advertising firms.
- Track station's sales metrics.
- Manage inventory and work with traffic department to ensure orders placed get moved through the system seamlessly.
- Negotiate buys and reserve commercial airtime.
- Oversee all national revenue, driving share and engage media buyers and planners across the U.S.
- Handles all political advertising for the station.
Qualifications
- Great people and negotiation skills.
Experience Level
- A bachelor's degree in business or a related degree is preferred.
- Direct experience in national broadcast transactions business.
- Demonstrated success in broadcast spot TV agency sales.
- Extensive knowledge of TV station inventory.
Note: a "spot" refers to a commercial that is scheduled to air during a specific "spot" in a program, running at an exact time on a specific day, for a specified amount of time vs. a commercial that airs in a more fluid rotation.
