Traffic Reporter/On-air Talent

Duties

• Provides timely reports on traffic to provide viewers with relevant information about traffic flow and accidents that can affect their daily commutes, especially during inclement weather.
• Serves as an integral part of the newscast, typically during the morning news. This position often serves as an entry point to the newsroom.
• Pulls real-time traffic data from computer software and presents the information to viewers in concise and understandable reports about area traffic conditions.
• Contributes traffic updates on the station's social media and digital sites.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing skills, analytical skills and on-air presence.

Experience Level

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A video demo reel is a plus.
