Associate Producer

Duties

• Supports the daily production of a show.
• Supervises production assistants and interns.
• Researches and compiles materials for show content and is involved in script writing.
• Maintains database of program content and contact networks.
• May perform sound or editing functions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry-related software.

Experience level

• Bachelor's degree preferred along with at least two years of experience.

An associate producer is a position at stations large enough to have this post full-time. Otherwise, it could exist as a part-time position. They work with a senior producer and help with the day-to-day prep of a show.
